Stephen Smith - Head Coach |
| Coach Smith is a graduate of Burkburnett, TX (1992) where he was an All-State Quarter Back. He went on to play baseball at Seminole Junior College from 1992-1994.
After Seminole, he played at Southwest Texas State University for two years. While at SWT he set 3 school records. Most saves in a season and career, and most appearances in a year. He was drafted in the 39th round by the Cincinnatti Reds after his senior season.
After one season of professional baseball, coach Smith went back and got his degree from SWT. Since being at Paschal the baseball program has won a district championship in 1998 and been in the playoffs two other times(1999-2000).
Coach Smith has been married for six years to his wife Amy and they have a son named Luke who is 3. |

Dustin Shepherd - Assistant Coach |
| This is Dustin Shepherd's second year at Paschal High School. Coach Shepherd graduated from Tarleton State University in Stephenville where he recieved his BBA. Last years coaching duties were the JV Black team baseball team. Coach Shepherd enjoyed the athletes he worked with last year. "That was a very special group of guys" he said, " Going all season and only losing 4 game was great, and I hope those guys learned to never give up on their goals and that hard work does pay off". Coach Shepherd just recently got married on Dec 30th 2004. His wife Baryn Shepherd didn't miss many baseball games last year and took a lot of game pictures of the kids. Coach Shepherd looks forward to another year of excellence and hopes to push the panthers towards their ultimate goal- a State Championship. |

Chason Hale - Assistant Coach |

Coach Hale is a graduate of Van, TX (1996) where he was an All-District and All-County Defensive Tackle. He went on to play football at Austin College in Sherman, TX from 1996-2000. Coach Hale has a beautiful wife Maggie and they have a son named Jaxon who is 4 months old, Michael who is 6, and a daughter Eliana who is 10. This is his first year as a high shcool coach, but his fifth year teaching. At Rosemont Middle School, Coach Hale coached three sports including football, basketball, and soccer in the four years that he worked there. Coach Hale has multiple years experience coaching summer league baseball in Van, TX with 13- 17 year olds, and was forunate enough to make the playoffs in every year of his tenure. In addition to his college playing experience, Coach Hale also participates in an area semi-pro football team at multiple positions. |

Coach Fernando Hernandez is a graduate of Pecos High School, 1975, and University of Texas at El Paso, 1979.
Coach Hernandez has coached for 27 years all over the state of Texas, - Midland - 4 yrs; Pecos- 3 yrs.; Fabens - 9 yrs. ; Fort Stockton, 3 yrs. ; Somerset - 4 yrs. ; Duncanville- 2 yrs.; and Paschal- 2 yrs. He is a former head coach of 15 years. His teams have won 5 district titles, 5 Bi-District titles, 2 area and 1 regional appearance. He also coaches the defensive tackle at Paschal high.
His wife, Dolores, of 29 years is also a teacher in Grand Prairie ISD. They have 4 children, Fernando III - 27 yrs. old, Miriam - 25 yrs old; Julia - 19 yrs old; and Jose - 14 yrs. old. They have 4 beautiful grandsons. |
